This is the latest Alienware 17.3-inch laptop that sports a 1080p Nvidia G-Sync Enabled anti-glare display with brightness up to 300-nits. It can satisfy almost all of the core laptop users including the hardcore players. The laptop is powered by the newest 8th generation Intel center i7 processor clocked at 4.1GHz. Multitasking on the laptop is powered by a 16GB of rapid DDR4 RAM that is ample for playing games and in case if you want more RAM then it also has an extra slot to upgrade the RAM up to 32GB. For our tests, we employed the standard settings, meaning deactivated overclocking and the balanced thermal mode (see screenshot #1).
Even if you go with no best CPU (Core i9-8950HK) and most powerful GPU (GeForce GTX 1080), the Alienware 17 R5 offers more than enough electricity for everyday gaming. The Core i7-8750H and the GeForce GTX 1070 don’t have any substantial issues despite demanding games — in the complete HD and QHD configurations.
